Privacy policy

HyporDigital ("HyporDigital," "we," "us" or "our") is a digital marketing agency based in Lake Bluff, Illinois, providing advertising, website and consulting services to businesses in the United States.

Information you give us. When you email us, request a proposal or become a client, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, job title and the details of your project. Clients also give us billing and contact details.

Information collected automatically. Our website uses the Google tag from Google Ads, which sets cookies and collects details such as the pages you view, the ad or link that brought you to the site, your IP address, and your browser and device. See Cookies and advertising below. Like any website, the services that host it and deliver its fonts may also record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Information from other sources. We may receive business contact details from referrals or from public sources such as company websites and professional networks.

We use personal information to:

• Reply to your questions and requests
• Prepare proposals and provide the services we've agreed to
• Manage our client relationships, including invoicing and record keeping
• Send updates about our work, which you can opt out of at any time
• Keep our website, systems and data secure
• Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We don't sell personal information for money. Our website's Google tag lets Google show our ads to people who have visited the site, which some state privacy laws treat as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out as described under Cookies and advertising, or by emailing us.

We use the Google tag from Google Ads to measure how well our ads work, for example whether someone who clicked one of our ads later contacted us, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site while they browse other websites. Google collects and uses this information under its own privacy policy. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

You can limit this at any time:

• Turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center
• Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.

We share personal information only in these cases:

• Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, cloud storage and accounting. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
• Advertising partners, namely Google, through the Google tag on our website, as described under Cookies and advertising.
• Legal reasons, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of HyporDigital, our clients or others.
• Business transfers, if HyporDigital is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We'd tell you before your information became subject to a different policy.
• With your consent, or at your direction.

When we provide services, clients may give us access to their advertising accounts, analytics, ecommerce platforms and customer data. We handle that data on the client's behalf, only to perform the work the client asked for, and under our agreement with them. The client's own privacy policy governs how their customers' data is collected and used. Questions about that data should go to the client first.

HyporDigital Keyword Research is our internal app for measuring search demand. With permission from the person signing in, it connects to the Google Ads API (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords) and retrieves keyword ideas and historical search statistics from Google Ads Keyword Planner, such as average monthly searches, monthly trends, competition and bid ranges.

We use this data only to research search demand for the brands we work with and to plan campaigns. The app doesn't create, change or delete anything in a Google Ads account. We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising or share it with anyone except as needed to provide our services or as the law requires. Sign-in credentials are stored encrypted and access is limited to our team.

HyporDigital's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Anyone who has signed in can remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for. Client and billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted storage, multi-factor sign-in and access limited to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that's wrong
• Delete your information
• Stop sending you marketing emails

Depending on the state you live in, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To make a request, email service@hypordigital.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Our website and services are meant for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Our site may link to websites we don't control, such as LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
